heyheyhey I'm laurrr ♥

+ I'm quite an interesting person with a great story to tell so here I am to tell it.

+ Let's start with my name; Lauren Nancy Mastrobuono . My first name used to be Heather, Heather LeClerc. They renamed me when I was adopted, though. They thought Lauren would be an original name. Big mistake there, in my 9th grade history class there were 4 Lauren's and he would always put us in the same group as some hysterical joke >_<. Nancy was my great-grandmother's name or so I'm told and also the name of my deceased aunt. Mastrobuono means "good master" in Italian and has been the source of unhappiness and teasing in my life since I was 11. Its amazing how much someone can pull from a simple 11 letter name. I heard everything from "Masturbation" to "Masterboner" to "Masturbating boner" to "Masterdodo". It was around freshman year of highschool that I made the decision to change the pronunciation of my last name from MASTER-BONE-O to MASTRA-BUAAA-NO. It helped a little =]

+ I have always worn my ♥ on my sleeve. I've tried to take it off for years but its like a stubborn ink stain that lingers there forever. I'm nice to everyone (unless they smell). I've only hated one person in my life. If someone doesn't like me I take it as a personal offense & basically combust inside.

+ I have a boyfriend, his name is Raymond. We've been dating for over three years, love each other to death and fight over the stupidest shit ever. Half the time you'll find him trying to push me off the winner's bed & the other half of the time you'll find him holding onto me like a security blanket. We're a little silly;

+ I have amazing friends. Patty, Kayla, Caity, Emily and Kit are the loves of my life. They're all different but very special to me. They tell me when I'm being a fucktard & put me back together when I make the same mistakes over & over again & for that I couldn't thank them more. I hope some day I can give them as much as they've given me.

+ My parents mean the world to me. I was adopted when I was a child and I could thank them more for saving me. I was raised in a somewhat uptight household in which I wasn't allowed to say "yup" yes, mother or "zit" I have a blemish. I think I came out of it fairly sane though & I care about my parents more than anything. Interestingly enough my mom's a little 5'1 French woman & my dad's a pretty intense mobster. ♥ yayyy family.

+ I go to school at URI. I don't really like it but its cheap & I do like cheap. I don't understand paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for college because you get about the same education wherever you do. I've experienced some amazing teachers at URI. I'm a Psychology major because as one of my teachers said " the only reason that anyone enters the Psych major is because they're crazy themselves & it just makes sense." Do I agree? kindasorta =] I think I want to be a middle school psychologist because I was teased a lot in middle school & I feel like I should give something back. 8 years of school is going to be a bitch but if it gets to be too much than I can just be a professional basket weaver.... =]

+ I am domestic as shit to the point of pissing many off. Women belong in the kitchen. If I could be a stay at home mom and walk around in heels & an apron all day while cleaning & constantly baking fresh pies I would be the happiest person alive. The women should be up & dressed with makeup on & breakfast ready before her husband is up. NOEXCEPTIONS♥ Also, a women president?! Are you kidding me?! Every 30 days or so China will get bombed because she's on the rag. nonononononono.

+ I'm not very skilled at anything. I can't play an instrument, sport or FPS to save my life but I have a good heart, & maybe that's enough to get me by. I also can't snap, whistle or blow bubbles. So flawed!

+ I love plays games despite my lack of skill at some of them. I'm always down for some bored games, of course. My favorites would be Munchkin, Monopoly, Risk, Battleship, Connect 4, Othello, Settlers of Catan, and Life. I also like PC games such as Portal, Spore, Team Fortress 2, Peggle and Warhammer Online♥♥. I like DDR and pretend that I'm the shit at it even though I'm not that good at all. Nothing, nothing beats my Nintendo64 though. I would throw down some N64 any time of day, I can't get enough of it. Recently I decided to start collecting games for it with this epic goal of collecting every N64 game ever made. Ebay has become my best friend since I developed this goal. Currently I have: Pokemon Snap, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Yoshi's Story, Diddy Kong Racing, Battletanx, Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Stadium 2, Mario Party 3, Hey You Pikachu, Snocross, Glover and Tonic Trouble. I would like some more, and Chrismas is coming up very soon along with my birthday, JANUARY 27TH!

+ My life has always been defined by music and its very difficult for me to give an answer when asked what type I like. I lived my youth going to rock and metal shows getting a good share of injuries and battle wounds. Those were probably the best days of my life. I miss the V-Crew and my carefree attitude. My i-pod still holds all my old tunes but its mixed with more of a variety as I've acquired a different taste as I've grown up. I like a lot of classic rock as well as alternative rock. Some pop's cool, I can't turn down a good musical number. $%@#&@! everything is just wonderful. I'll sing along to anything I know the words to. Most recently I saw Elton John in concert at Mohegan Sun.

+ I love my computer more than anything. The 22" widescreen monitor that I just purchased for it makes it even more lovely than ever before. I have an amazing pink tower! ♥ AMD 4200+ Dual Core Processor, 2 gigs of DDR Ram, 80 gig harddrive, Geforce 7600GT, RPM=5400. I'm going to have dual monitors pretty soon too =] !$!@%!@!@$!@ lovelovelovelovelovelovelovelove

+ My family is crazy and amazing. Have half been in jail, we have some homosexuals, plenty of druggies/ex druggies, mafi-o's (kind of like cheerios but scarier) and just crazy Italian's in general. I'm adopted so I'm fairly normal and am basically the prodigal child. I have all these crazy expectations placed on me to like explore Jupiter and come up with a cure for ugly.

+ I can't spell anything, thank god livejournal has spellcheck. I have great grammer and always know when to use a period, but let me tell you that I just tried to spell Jupiter "Jupitor" in the last section. What a dumbass. I know exactly why I can't spell too. When I was in Elementary school and had to write a spelling word 10 times I would make a game of it and do something like this:

Too bad my parents didn't smash that habit. If they had maybe I'd be able to spell simple words like a normal human being >___>; I also hold my pencil like an idiot. You'd have to see it to believe it, its like I just grip the entire thing in one beastly fist and carve down into the poor paper. In third grade I had to give my teacher a quarter for every time I held it incorrectly. I think we calculated that I owed him around $620.00 by the end of the year. I never actually paid him for that... I hope he doesn't send a hitman after me ::looks around nervously::. But anyway, after trying to squash that habit for about 15 years my mom concluded that since I had scholarships pouring out the anus it really didn't matter how I held my pen.
